3 easy steps to becoming a Nanny Australia –
1.- Qualifications and Requirements
• Make sure you have all your qualifications and requirements checked off.
• It is vital that you have the minimum requirement of 1 year experience, a working with children’s check, first aid, police check and references. |
2.- Complete our online Registration
• Register your interest to become a Nanny. Please make sure you attach all of your documentation so that your registration is complete then one of our friendly team members will be in touch. |
3.- Interview
• We will arrange an agency interview with one of our consultants to gather any final details required.
• Please make sure you bring your tax file number and bank details so we can set you up on our payroll.
• We will check your references and enter your details onto our database and will liaise with you regarding suitable vacancies.References will be contacted, so please advise your previous employers. |
Resume
 Your resume should only display all of your relevant childcare experience. Please remove all non-childcare related positions prior to expressing your interest in joining our agency. (Your Childcare Resume should include the details of each position and MUST include; the duration of the position, your duties and responsibilities, the ages of the children etc.). |
Experience
You must have a minimum of two years’ professional paid experience working in childcare. This may include working as a nanny or in childcare centres. Please make a note of any experience you have which may be relevant, such as the care of children with special needs, reflex, food allergies etc. Please don’t include casual babysitting in your experience. |
Qualifications
Please provide a copy of any childcare certificates you hold. |
References
Please provide two contactable references from your previous employers (childcare related only). |
Personal Qualities
Personal qualities will be taken into consideration. For example, being responsible, flexible, reliable, having a mature outlook and having the ability to cope under pressure, a friendly, bubbly personality and presenting yourself in a professional manner. |
First Aid Certificate
You need to hold a valid first aid certificate. |
Police Clearance
You need to obtain a Federal Police Clearance. Please note that this is a separate check from your Working with Children’s Check and can be obtained from your local police station or visit: https://www.nationalcrimecheck.com.au/police-checks-individuals. |
Working with Children Check
You must provide us with your working with the Working With Children Check (WWCC) number. If you would like to obtain this, you can visit: http://www.kidsguardian.nsw.gov.au/working-with-children/working-with-children-check/apply/apply. |
Drivers Licence or Car
Not essential, but please include details if you have a full clean driving licence or car. |
